Aperol Gin Cocktail

gin, Aperol, lime, simple syrup, club soda (optional), cucumber

A fun festive drink that is great for a warm afternoon. Serve over a large portion of ice, and if you like the whole bubble thing, add the optional club soda. I'm not a huge fan of carbonization, so I don't, but you can.

Ingredients

1 slice Cucumber
1 1/2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Aperol
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Simple syrup
Club soda (optional)
Garnish: Lime slice

Instructions

Muddle cucumber in a cocktail shaker, add the rest of the ingredients (minus the club soda) and shake with ice until cold. Strain into a ice filled glass and fill with club soda (if you're into that kind of thing). Garnish with a wedge of lime.
